Air Japan operates a fleet of passenger and freighter B787 aircraft which operate within Asia to China, Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore and Honolulu with more destinations planned.These contracts are for 5 years in length with an operating base of Narita, Japan.
This an excellent opportunity to secure a long term career path with a major Japanese airline which is upgrading its fleet with B787 aircraft. Air Japan will provide, at no cost, a full type rating course leading to a JCAB licence – a very highly sought after qualification.
An excellent commuting package is offered with 10 days off per month with a minimum of 8 consecutive days.
Air Japan also provides $2000 USD per month to assist with commuting to Tokyo, whilst also offering staff travel on Star Alliance partner airlines.

- B787 type rating provided by Air Japan
- No bond payable for the rating
- Up to 14 days off in a block per month
- Contract completion bonus of $30,000 USD after 5 years
- 24 vacation days per year
- 12 days sick leave per year
- Worldwide medical insurance provided for pilot, including full US health insurance for US citizens.

- 5 year contract with extensions to age 65
Captain Requirements (non-JCAB Licence holders)
- 6,000 hours Total Flight Experience
- 4,500 hours Commercial Jet PIC
- Multi-engine Jet experience in excess of 65,000kg MTOW
- Valid ICAO ATPL with Command Jet Type Rating (aircraft types B737/A320 equivalent or larger commercial jet)
- Must have flown within the last 12 months
- Under 55 years of age at time of commencement
- Valid ICAO Medical Certificate
- ICAO English Level 5 or higher
Captain Requirements (JCAB Licence holders)
- JCAB Licence
- 6,000 hours Total Flight Experience
- 3,000 hours Commercial Jet PIC
- minimum of 500 hours Jet PIC with a Japanese Airline
- Valid JCAB ATPL with Command Jet Type Rating
- Multi-engine Jet experience in excess of 50,000kg MTOW
- Valid ICAO Medical Certificate
- ICAO English Level 5 or higher
